14. Face wash OR Cleanser?

Both of them do the same job of getting rid of dirt and oils. However, a cleanser dissolves the dirt, pollutants, makeup, SPF etc. Face wash isn't gonna remove 100% of them. That's the difference.

Face wash basically delves deeper into the skin and cleans the pored due to its foaming action.

So if you have a makeup or SPF on, it's better to use a Cleanser first, and then a face wash.

And your skin could be dehydrated or dry because of your cleanser - a lot of cleansers are very harsh, especially foaming cleansers that are made for oily skin. Micro-needling or derma-rolling is basically a procedure where you poke tiny microscopic holes into your skin - kind of creating a micro-injury. 58. You can physically plump up your skin by using hyaluronic acid. Our own skin cells actually produce hyaluronic acid naturally with a goal to retain our moisture levels. As we get older, this production stops - making our skin look saggy and less plump. It is also good for all skin types.

60. Can we Unclog Pores completely?

You can't really unclog your pores in the sense of emptying out your pores of everything. When we do a facial, we think we are opening up all our pores and getting all the pores cleaned up. However, we are really just scratching the surface of our pores.

The reality is we don't actually need to empty out our pores. It is more about keeping your pores function better.

Mixing Retinol + AHAs or BHAs

Technically, you can mix them together. Retinol helps your body to produce more skin cells, while exfoliation helps to shed excess skin cells.

Using both the same time can be effective, but you are risking over exfoliating your face.

You can use it if you have been using Retinol or Exfoliants for a long time and have not experienced sensitivity.

The best way is to use Retinol one night, and exfoliate the other night. So one day you produce more skin cells, and the other day you shed the excess skin cells. Perfect!

Skin has 3 layers: Epidermis(outer skin), Dermis (middle layer), and Hypodermis(deepest layer of skin).

When water in your dermis layer is passes through the dermis and is lost into air, that's TEWL.

Skin automatically regulates how much water should be lost, but sometimes the barrier of the skin becomes bad and you lose a lot which results in drying, aging and sensitivity.
